What makes PT&C CostCenter Suite different than alternative solutions?

The CostCenter suite truly allows the involvement of a team working on a project that could be based in many different locations. When you match this with relevant Cost Data, our system is by far the best offered on the market.

What's the coolest PT&C CostCenter benefit and feature?

The transparency of CostBook. You can see what we are basing our cost items on, so the items are truly usable for estimating.

What makes PT&C CostCenter Suite different than alternative solutions?

PT&C CostCenter Suite is more transparent in derivation of cost, more up-to-date, contains relevant products, and well thought out crews performing the work.

What's the coolest PT&C CostCenter benefit and feature?

  • It is all online! No more software to install or update! I can get to it from any computer connected to the internet, with my secure login of course.
  • Sharing estimates in CostPro and assigning folders is a game changer. No more asking my project manager “Where is the estimate file?” All of my work is clearly assigned to me. When I log in, everything is right in front of me and ready for me to hit the ground running. The assigned folders even change color to let me know the areas I am responsible for in the estimate.
  • The Cost Book Library is lightning fast. Both the load screen and searches are speedy. Which is nice because I don't have to waste time waiting for my software to catch up to my pace. Another perk is I can open CostCenter on separate tabs or spread windows on completely separate screens to work more efficiently. Also, it can be full screen; so no more scrolling to see the entire description. The cart feature is really nice too.

We are producing useable Activities. These Activities will have labor units that are developed by estimators with field experience, understand real life productivities and fully understand construction means and methods. Also, we have useable activities that are not found in other books and are expanded upon every day.

What's the coolest PT&C CostCenter benefit and feature?

The CostBuilder feature to provide input to the Digital Team is great! This feature is a fantastic tool that gives the client access to the Digital Team for questions and resolutions regarding our products. In the demonstrations, I noticed the ease of locating Activities with the Search tool, the clarity in understanding the Activity, and the input.

What's your construction specialty?

What makes PT&C CostCenter Suite different than alternative solutions?

The CostCenter Suite allows the estimator to have more options when estimating and empowers them to see what is included in the activities from the standpoint of labor and materials. The platform also allows Project Managers to see in further depth what is included. A lot of estimating software solutions don’t allow in-depth views of what is being estimated. By allowing this level of detail, less mistakes are made in the estimating stages.

What's the coolest PT&C CostCenter benefit and feature?

There is not one specific item that I could point to and call it a favorite. The functionality of the entire cost book depends on each portion to work in unity with the others. It gives a tremendous amount of flexibility for both the estimators and Project Managers when pricing projects which allows for greater decision making on the contractors part through the life of the project. As the system continues to grow in information and its functionality the contractors will have even more features that other cost books do not include.
